The TAMly platform is in test mode. We are fine-tuning the content and features, and every piece of your feedback is precious to us.

about us

We are a community that opens conversations about family, mental health, identity and life between cultures.

We create space where we can understand each other better – ourselves, the people close to us, and what happens between generations.

We are a group of volunteers for whom TAMly is a labour of love. We build it with enthusiasm, because we want to do something meaningful for the community – and for ourselves.

Why we started

Life between two cultures brings experiences that are sometimes hard to talk about – pressure to perform, relationships with parents, the search for identity and the feeling of belonging neither here nor there.

We create a safer space so that nobody has to face those conversations alone.

Fun fact:TAMly did not begin as a “mental health project”. We started mainly with a question: “Why is it sometimes so hard to tell our own parents what we really feel?”

Fun fact:“Tâm lý” means psychology in Vietnamese. And the Czech “tam” symbolises a place for us – a safer space where we can speak openly about what happens inside us and between us.

What we do

  • community events and gatherings
  • workshops and learning events for the public and institutions
  • podcasts and content connecting professionals with Vietnamese experience
  • conversation cards and projects about relationships, identity and wellbeing.

Who we are here for

For people living between two cultures – not only young Czech-Vietnamese people, but also for parents and children who want to understand each other better, and for anyone who wants to listen without prejudice.

Fun fact:An emphasis on education, work, financial stability or a “good future” can come from the experience of migration and uncertainty. The next generation, however, may live through it very differently.

Our team

TAMly is run by volunteers. Every project has its own team – here are the people behind them.
