Why the project started

The new platform gives different content types one coherent structure and lets visitors switch language without losing their place.

Who the project is for

For visitors looking for events, cards or trusted resources in Czech, Vietnamese and English. And for people who navigate the site by keyboard or on a small screen.

How the project ran

It is mobile-first, keyboard accessible, explicit about safety states and backed by a content management system (CMS) the team uses to manage content.

The platform is available in three languages: Czech, Vietnamese and English.

Challenges

The hardest part was keeping three language versions equal without presenting the Vietnamese content as finished. We also had to state what the site cannot do yet instead of hiding it.

Impact

3 language versions prepared

Observation period: March–July 2026

Learning

  • Switching language has to keep the current page, otherwise people leave.
  • An honest label about work in progress builds more trust than a polished surface.
  • Accessibility is easier when it starts with the first draft, not before launch.

Activities and outputs

What the project produced

  • information architecture for projects, events and the library
  • a trilingual content model with a language-review state
  • a component and design-token system
  • continuous accessibility testing
